" STAR COTTAGE Sowerbys are delighted to offer this charming three bedroom character cottage, idyllically positioned within grounds of approximately 0.55 acres (stms), overlooking unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside within the picturesque village of Bradenham. Built in the mid-nineteenth century, the property was originally used as a public house, as is evident by a number of existing character features such as the half-cellar at the rear of the cottage. The current owners have embraced the quirky charm of the cottage and adapted the accommodation to create a warm and pleasant home which provides versatile and well-presented space. There are three reception rooms at the front of the cottage; the formal dining room, the sitting room and a delightful garden room which has been converted out of an original stable, from where visitors can best enjoy the views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. At the centre of the ground floor there as an inner hall which links the accommodation together, with doors leading to the utility room and a formed archway opening to the well-appointed kitchen/breakfast room. Also on the ground floor there is a separate study, cloakroom, half-cellar and two entrance porches which, we believe indicate the separate entrances into the two original bar areas. On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a generously sized family bathroom. The outside space on offer at the property truly sets it apart from many other cottages of this type. Included within the grounds is a formal lawn at the rear with a central pond, a meadow with a recently planted woodland, paved entertaining area, further gardens to the front of the property alongside a gravel driveway which extends to the front of the detached garage.
