" A smart 5 bed house with stylish decor, sat in a small development of just eight similar houses. Excellent local schools, great amenities nearby (incl Chipping Norton/ Stow/ Kingham), and easy rail access to London. ***VR tour available - see link***

A particularly stylish interior which maximises the already significant living space and adds a lot of character flair. Oddington offers some quite extraordinary assets yet it's unknown to most but locals. Sat in amongst rolling countryside, some of the prettiest the Cotswolds have to offer, living here offers the very best of all worlds. Nearby there are several schools, in catchment, rated as outstanding - see http://campden.school and http://www.kingham.oxon.sch.uk. The local farm provides milk delivery. Daylesford Farm Shop offers wonderful organic produce. Stow, Chipping Norton and Kingham

(3 miles away, which also includes a mainline station to London) cater for every taste in food, drink and amenities between them. Sweetmore Close is a tiny collection of houses. Most of the owners have been there for many years, full testament to how much they have enjoyed living here. Number 2 Sweetmore is a charming conundrum. On the exterior it is a well built modern townhouse with a number of character features only a conscientious builder would add - note the window reveals and stone detailing. On the inside it is a reflection of our client's love of turn of the 20th century French design. This creates an ambience from the front door throughout the house of walking through the door of Narnia! This is a good thing. From a roll-top bath to a farmhouse-style kitchen, moody pastel colours contrasting with white gloss timber, there's something rather fun about it that sets you at ease and invites you in. Combine this with large rooms, a pleasant and private garden, ample parking and a position away from the road, and it's rather a tempting prospect. The main door opens into a broad hall with stairs zig-zagging away from you on the left. The first impression is of great light with clever colour use combining to create an air of positivity. This continues as you look left into a cloak room that is neutral with a white suit but elegantly decorated. Ahead, the door opens into a study the current owner uses as a design room, gaining inspiration from looking out at the garden birds through the window behind! On the right of the study the space opens out to a large, well proportioned kitchen that is immensely attractive. Farmhouse style is the order of the day with cream units contrasting pleasantly with timber work surfaces, and the floor is a classic stone tile. The central focus is a large range cooker, perfect in this room, encouraging family and friends to sit round a large table in what is clearly the hub of the house. To the rear a door also opens onto the terrace and garden beyond, so warm days are spent with the door thrown open and garden dining is the norm. To the left of the hall, the sitting room is thoroughly stylish, double aspect hence very bright, with glazed double doors opening onto that same garden terrace. In the centre of the left wall is a stone fireplace, further creating the impression of a historic house. On the first floor, the landing leads off to four ample bedrooms. To one end, the room above the garage is a real surprise. At 24 feet in length this room accommodates any need. Double aspect, it is also extremely light hence feels like a positive place to be. It is worth noting that we believe the under stairs space could be converted to provide an ample en-suite, currently this is not open into this room but in the neighbouring house it is, so there is scope to make improvements easily. The three further bedrooms are all light and well proportioned hence ideal for growing children. Serving all four is a well planned and bright bathroom that is particularly stylish with a Victorian style suite that includes a roll top bath, classical sculpted pedestal basin and exposed shower piping leading up to a soaker head. The sense of fun and style is palpable here! The whole of the top floor is essentially one suite. The first impression is of wonder that the landing is large enough to accommodate chests of drawers with room to spare! On the right the first room is a very large walk-in wardrobe. Opposite this the hallway includes eaves cupboards with generous storage space, plus the loft above is very large. Here the en-suite is really very pleasant, with simple but elegant tiling including a black and white floor, plus there is a larger than usual shower.. Next door, the master bedroom is everything you would hope it to be. Dormer windows to both sides afford wonderful views, looking out over neighbouring gardens to one side and towards the fields to the other. This room has real character, and at 17 feet wide it is unusually spacious, able to cater for the very largest of furnishings. Outside, to the front the stone-walled beds to the side of the path to the door contain a number of pretty plants and flowers. On the right there is a block paved parking space off-road inset into the building, and to the left end a gate gives access to the rear garden. Further parking is catered for with unrestricted space in front of the house. Through the side gate is a very private, wide and landscaped with close board fencing to the rear. A pergola to one side provides a lovely sun trap, then there is also a terrace. A raised bed to the rear steps up to a lawn area flanked by all sorts of interesting flowering plants. It is an ample space that is inviting and extremely attractive, but also easy to maintain. Directions Chipping Norton 7, Stow 2 miles
