SITUATION Chillington has a thriving local community and more facilities than many similar villages in the area which include an excellent village Inn, post office/general stores, traditional butcher and centrally located health centre. There are excellent primary schools in the neighbouring villages of Stokenham and West Charleton. Kingsbridge - known locally as 'The Capital of the South Hams' - lies at the head of the Salcombe estuary and is 4 miles to the West.
