HOW TO GET THERE From Kingsbridge drive along Embankment Road with the Estuary on the right hand side. Take the first left after the recreation ground into Highfield Drive, and then third left into Barton Close. Number 12 will be found on the right hand side. SITUATION 12 Barton Close is within walking distance of Kingsbridge, the main shopping centre for the rural South Hams. The town has good facilities including a wide range of shops, Churches, cottage hospital, health centre, sports centre with indoor swimming pool and bowls arena. It also has a library, primary school and well respected secondary school.
Kingsbridge is situated at the head of the Salcombe estuary with excellent boating and sailing facilities within the sheltered estuary waters. The South Hams coastline is renowned for its beaches and spectacular scenery stretching from Dartmouth in the East to Plymouth in the West. There are water sports available nearby at the sandy beaches of Bantham, Bigbury, Blackpool Sands and Salcombe.
