LOCATION:

The Standards is an attractive group of cottages situated in the centre of Catcott convenient for the village primary school, church and village pubs, The Crown and King William.

Catcott is a desirable village forming part of a popular group of villages set on the Polden Hills, eight miles west of Street and six miles from M5 junction 23. Street is a busy mid Somerset town which provides an attractive range of facilities including Clarks Village shopping centre, a bustling High Street, two swimming pools, Strode Theatre and a choice of pubs and restaurants.

DIRECTIONS:

From Street take the A39 towards Bridgwater passing through the villages of Walton and Ashcott. After approximately 5 miles, turn right signposted to Catcott. On reaching the crossroads, King William Inn opposite, proceed straight ahead into King William Road. At the 'T' junction (bottom of the hill), turn left into Manor Road and upon reaching the Memorial bear right. Take the next right turning into Steel Lane where The Standards will soon be identified on the right hand side. No. 2 is the first property on the right hand side.

DESCRIPTION:

The Standards comprises the end one of a group of period cottages and presents colour washed elevations under a tiled roof. The accommodation is charming and interesting by virtue of having two separate staircases, one rises from the kitchen to a landing with two bedrooms and bathroom off. The second staircase rises from the dining room to the main bedroom. The sitting room has character with exposed stone and timberwork plus a woodburner.
