" An immaculate three bedroomed detached house with a small courtyard garden in one of the oldest parts of this highly sought after village. The accommodation briefly comprises, Porch, Sitting Rm, Kitchen/Breakfast room and a Conservatory/Dining room. Upstairs, Landing, Three bedrooms and a refitted bathroom with shower. Parking on the front for two cars and a garage. Gas fired central heating. Double glazed. Small courtyard to rear with a raised terraced area.

ALDBOURNE The village is famous for its church, as St Michael's has the largest Norman doorway of any parish church in Wiltshire and was famous for its bell foundry which between 1696 and 1826 made bells for many churches in Wiltshire and in surrounding counties. The village has featured in numerous television programs and even has its own web site. Facilities include Primary School, two public houses, post office, butchers, grocery store, clubs, sports facilites and regular bus services to Hungerford, Marlborough and Swindon. Motorway access at Hungerford and Swindon. The Butts comes from archery butts which was an archery practice field, with mounds of earth used for the targets. The Butts originally referred to the targets themselves, but over time came to mean the platforms that held the targets as well. In medieval times, it was compulsory for all yeomen in England to learn archery. THE PROPERTY Originally constructed in the 1960's 17 The Butts has been subject to a program of updating and improvements over recent years, providing a comfortable well presented property in this charming village location. Convenient book shelving lines the staircase and a window overlooks the front, access to loft storage with ladder, first left into the main bedroom. Window to the front and rear and space for wardrobes if required. Back onto the Landing, straight on past the bathroom and airing cupboard, right into the second bedroom, again a double with a window to the rear. Right into the third bedroom with a window to the front, this room is currently used as the dressing room. Finally into the bathroom. Recently refitted with a white suite and attractive white tiles. Bath with separate shower over, wash basin with mixer taps and a concealed cistern WC. Window to the rear and a heated towel rail. OK, thats inside, lets have a look around outside. PARKING AND GARAGE The front garden has been turned into a hardstanding area providing parking for 2 cars, raised well stocked flower bed and an outside light. DIRECTIONS AND POSTCODE From this office proceed to Aldbourne via Ogbourne St George. On entering the village turn right at the T junction into Marlborough Road and straight on into The Butts.
