Pensilva is a popular moorland village with public house, general store and post office, health centre, junior school and millennium centre. The nearby market town of Liskeard (approx. 4 miles) is generally known as the administrative centre of South East Cornwall and offers a wide range of shopping, recreational and educational facilities together with a main line
railway station and branch line to the fishing town of Looe. The city of Plymouth lies within commuting distance via the Tamar Bridge.
