" SITUATION Pelynt offers excellent facilities including primary school, public house, shops, post office, church and restaurant. Looe is one of South East Cornwall's premier coastal towns, as well as being a busy fishing port it is also a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful scenery and safe beaches. The town has primary and secondary school together with branch line railway station and is only 20 miles away from the City of Plymouth with its airport and ferry link to France.Sporting facilities in the area are numerous. There is the sports centre in Liskeard with squash, badminton and tennis courts, indoor bowls, indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, etc. There is a Golf course at Bindown, near Looe and at the internationally renowned golf course at St Mellion with it's two 18 hole golf courses. Boating, sea fishing and other water sports are available at Looe and Fowey and good bathing all along the south Cornish coast. Salmon and trout fishing is available on local rivers by joining the local angling club with rainbow trout on Siblyback and Colliford Reservoirs.
