" A former village shop with cottage style garden , 4 bedrooms and vaulted living room with inglenook fireplace

TITLE A former village shop with cottage style garden , 4 bedrooms and vaulted living room with inglenook fireplace. . A marvellous opportunity to purchase a historic cottage in the heart of North Kilworth. The property has a 300 year history and is believed to have been separate dwellings in the early part of its existence. As the name suggests, the property formerly served as a village shop as recent as 9 years ago, but now offers family accommodation, to include 4 bedrooms, family bathroom, dining room, living room, sitting room, kitchen/breakfast room and cloakroom/utility room. The property has off road parking and an attractive cottage garden. VENDORS COMMENTS 'When we found this lovely house we just knew instantly that it would be a very special place to live,' says Debra 'it had a tremendous atmosphere and it immediately felt like a great family home. As the name would suggest it was for many, many years the village shop and it was converted to a residence by the previous owners.' 'This is a wonderful period home full of character and original features and a lot of living accommodation' adds Ian 'The main lounge may possibly have originally been the barn attached to the house - it's a fabulous room and with its vaulted ceiling adds to the unique character of the house and the living spaces. It's a cosy room, and at Christmas time looks quite resplendent with a bedecked 15ft tree and logs crackling away in the log burner.' . 'The dining room is more like a dining hall' says Debra 'and has its original floors. We regularly seat ten guests in here for dinner parties. There is a family room just off from the dining room which also displays its original floors, and with space for two large comfortable settees it's a wonderful place for the family to be together and a great space for children.'
'The garden is a perfect size for family use as well as for entertaining purposes,' explains Ian 'It's a walled cottage garden with deep filled mature borders and a good sized lawn area. The garden has been carefully planted to give interest and colour throughout the changing seasons. The garden is private and not overlooked and therefore is a very peaceful and relaxing place to spend some time and unwind after a busy day, either with a glass of something chilled on the raised deck area or just taking a moment out to collect one's thoughts. With the gardens being so private it's wonderful to be able to throw open the French doors and let the outside in - and particularly so when entertaining family and friends, when they can drift in and out almost as if it's one space.' . 'We have loved sharing this house with our family and friends,' adds Debra 'and our visitors all comment on the wonderful atmosphere this house has. This has been for us such a truly happy place to live and a very special family home. Our only sadness is that we can't pick it up and take it with us but we know that the new owners of this lovely home will enjoy it every bit as much as we have.'
