" Beautifully presented character five bedroom detached house with self-contained one bedroom annexe, set in superb grounds and having a paddock. Photograph shows rear of property.

A detached, three storey farmhouse with self contained annexe dating back to the 1650's which has undergone modernisation within the last eight years. The property sits in formal grounds with a paddock in total approximately 5.338 acres. The property is not listed but captures period features throughout, and in our opinion has been sympathetically restored to create modern living to a high standard. Internally, are three receptions kitchen/breakfast room, utility room, boot room, cloakroom and to the first floor a master bedroom with ensuite, two further double bedrooms and a four piece bathroom suite, all having open views. To the attic are two bedrooms with a wealth of beams and space. Attached is a self contained annexe with kitchen/breakfast room, sitting room area and bedroom with ensuite. Outside is a private driveway to the front with a further driveway to the side leading to a gated orchard with timber framed open barn. The gardens surround the property and provide a relaxed decked terrace overhanging the stream, perfect for alfresco dining to the rear. To the front is a cottage garden all enclosed by hedging with a garden to side, summer house (currently a studio) and gates provide access to a vegetable area and greenhouse.

The property has two period fireplaces, window seats to many rooms, beams throughout, exposed stonework, wooden flooring, bespoke kitchen and plantation shutters fitted to some windows. This is truly a beautiful property and viewing is essential to appreciate the care that has been taken to combine modern living with character.
