There are plenty of reasons to consider this property for your next family home; it's tastefully extended to include an en-suite on the master bedroom, the spacious lounge and dining room layout, the beautiful rear garden with a cracking patio area for barbecues and al fresco dining during the summer months and the loft conversion with ManCave written all over it! And on top of all that, it's in Cookley, one of the nicest villages in Worcestershire. Don't take my word for it though, here's what the current owners had to say:

"We've been here for over twenty years and have watched out boys grow up in Cookley and have to say it's a great place to live. It has a great sense of community, without being too intrusive, the village pubs and eateries are smashing (especially for real ale fans) and yet we're still conveniently placed for the rest of Worcestershire and the West Midlands. We've never considered moving before, but now the kids have flown the nest, it's time for us to look for a smaller place, instead of rattling around in our home of twenty years."

Focusing on the house itself, it's set well back from the road and has ample driveway parking for three or four vehicles - although the property does also come with a garage to the rear - and an l shaped garden/patio area to the side/rear of the house. Behind the garden are the start of beautiful woodlands, perfect for dog walks or a stroll on a frosty winter morning. Apparently the views over Kinver edge during the winter months are spectacular, but there was too much greenery still about for me to verify this on my visits!

Inside, this family home offers separate lounge and dining rooms as well as a good sized kitchen with utility room beyond. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms - the very large master bedroom being en-suite - as well as a single bedroom and a traditional, family bathroom. The loft above is split into two sections - one perfect for storage and the other ideal as an office, studio or ManCave. Personally, I'd want to go with the latter, but ladies, please feel free to hide this suggestion from your husbands when you're telling them about the cracking property you've found on Rightmove or Zoopla! The house has gas central heating throughout and the double glazing was all replaced just a little over two years ago.

All in all, it's a lovely family home in a great location with good schools and local amenities on the doorstep. If we were your average, by the numbers kind of estate agent, this is the bit where we'd put 'viewing recommended'. But we're not and to be fair, you probably don't need us to tell you that anyway - the house speaks for itself.
