Braithwaite is a rural residential village located some 7 miles North East of Doncaster the regional centre. The walkway along the canal which is in close vacinity of the property is part of the trans penine trail. Barnby Dun is a small village located approximately 2.5 miles from Braithwaite and houses a range of local shops, post office and primary school. Kirk Sandall is another nearby popular village approximately three miles from Doncaster town centre and also has a wider range of local amenities to close by villages which include shops, supermarkets, post office, bus routes into the town centre and a train station.
