Situated on a corner plot which we understand extends to approximately 1/2 an acre, Clock Cottage is situated in a lovely semi rural yet utterly convenient position on the edge of Great Budworth Village and with lovely country views in almost every direction. The attractive brick and white rendered elevations are surmounted by a very traditional thatched roof with high brow windows and unusually the accommodation is a good size extending to about 1600sq ft. Whilst now requiring some modernisation the property is ready for immediate occupation and available with vacant possession. In addition to the rather nice established lawned gardens which surround the cottage extra mention should be made of the double driveway which can provide parking for several vehicles where there is a detached double garage with inspection pit, a brick built workshop and utility room behind and loft room over.
LOCATION
Aston by Budworth is a rural hamlet located between Tabley and the village of Great Budworth. The village of Great Budworth with its historic sandstone church, picturesque cottages and narrow cobbled streets has long been regarded as one of the most attractive and desirable of Cheshiren++s rural villages and is designated as a conservation area. The village is steeped in history dating back to Norman times and is close to the stately home of Arley Hall, the estate of which the village was once part. The rural location is by no means isolated and a nearby primary school and private schools in Great Budworth lie close by along with further educational facilities in Knutsford and Altrincham town centre. For the equestrian enthusiast, excellent schools and stabling facilities are close by. Sandiway, Antrobus and Heyrose are just a handful of the golf courses nearby. Leisure centres can be located in the surrounding towns. Swimming facilities are also met at nearby town centres of Knutsford, Northwich, Altrincham and Manchester City Centre is also within easy reach. The North West motorway network is also easily accessed, as is Manchester International Airport.
DIRECTIONS
From the roundabout in Canute Square travel along Manchester Road (A50) turning left onto Tabley Road, adjacent to The Heath. Continue to the A556 dual carriageway and cross it passing The Windmill public house on your right. Continue along Pickmere Lane bearing right signed Arley Hall and Great Budworth. Continue for approximately three miles passing the turning to Arley Hall on your right. Take next right onto Westage Lane and Clock Cottage will be seen straight ahead.
