Crediton is a Mid Devon market town, only 5 miles north of Exeter and offers excellent transport links into the city by road or rail. There s a strong community and as such, it s home to independent businesses in the High Street and town square which are well supported. There s primary, secondary and 6th form education plus supermarkets Tesco, Lidl and Morrisons and plenty of sports facilities. The town s long history provides a range of housing options but this particular home is a little different. Around the town, it s hard to find a non estate, 1930 s build on a level plot and within easy reach of all the amenities, not to mention one with gardens, a garage and parking!
The house is being offered to the market for the first time in over 40 years. It s a little dated in its d cor in places but has been really well looked after and has a recent combi boiler and uPVC double glazing throughout. It hasn t been altered and so there s the original layout of the time, good sized rooms with high ceilings and a traditional layout. We love the wide entrance hall with its tiled floors it sets the feel of the whole house. The layout offers a living room, separate dining room and to the rear, a large conservatory has been added providing additional space. The kitchen is also separate, but some may choose to open the kitchen and dining room into one. There s a walk in larder cupboard and a ground floor WC which is very useful. On the first floor are the three bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath and shower.
Outside, the property is accessed under an archway giving privacy to the front garden and this leads to a long driveway with parking for 4 or 5 vehicles and then a gate leads to the rear garden and garage. The front garden is laid to lawn with planted beds, shrubs and trees and the rear garden is mainly lawned. The entire plot is pretty level with only a couple of steps up to the rear lawn. The two timber sheds will also be included in the sale.
