"Hyaway is a peacefully located individual semi detached property with superb countryside views. The property dates back to the early 1800s and is built of part clunch/part timber framed construction with modern additions under a slate tiled roof. An entrance lobby gives access to the snug and utility room and the kitchen which has recently been refitted with an attractive range of base cabinets with oak surfaces, gas fired Aga with electric companion, walk-in larder, plumbing for dishwasher and butler sink. The sitting room has a wood burner and playroom off. A rear lobby leads to the annexe which has its own entrance door, a well fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, integrated dishwasher and space for fridge-freezer. This leads to the shower room with power shower and the spacious sitting room. The bedroom has views over the rear garden. The first floor comprises a fabulous master bedroom suite with dressing room and en suite shower room, 3 further bedrooms (all with fitted wardrobes), and a family bathroom.
Outside, a 5-bar gate entrance leads to a gravelled parking area with space for 3-4 vehicles. There is an open-bay cartlodge garage (17' 6" x 17' 5") with weatherboarded elevations under a tiled roof. The rear gardens commence with a paved terrace with brick retaining walls and steps up to the lawned garden. The rear garden measures in excess of 250ft (approx. 0.2 of an acre in total) and are mainly laid to lawn with mature tree and shrub planting. High hedgerow boundaries give privacy and seclusion with views towards open farmland. At the end of the garden there is a workshop (20' x 11' 10") and a separate storage shed.Directions

From Saffron Walden take the B1052 towards Newport, turning left on to the B1383 into the village of Newport. Just by the Village Stores turn right on the B1038 through Wicken Bonhunt.
