Description This elegant semi-detached Edwardian home is situated in a most desirable central location in Lewes. The dining room features a large bay window with secondary double glazing and an outlook toward Lewes Castle. The kitchen has a range of floor and wall mounted units with eye level double oven, gas hob with extractor hood above, and stainless steel sink unit. There is ample space for dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and a freezer, together with the central heating boiler which is wall mounted. A door, with window, provides access to the side and rear. An extended sitting room has a feature fireplace, with wooden surround and marble inlay. There are large sliding patio doors to the garden and there is ample space for book shelves. On the first floor there is a large bedroom at the back of the house with chimney breast, recessed wash basin and large window overlooking the rear garden. A family bathroom features a coloured suite with tiled walls, wash basin with vanity unit and low level WC, and electric shower above the bath. There is a small bedroom with side aspect and replacement window, with built in wardrobes, and the large master bedroom which enjoys fabulous views across to Lewes Castle through the large picture windows. On the second floor there is partially floored eaves storage accessed from the landing and a shower room with WC. The large bedroom features front views through the roof light. There is a large garden shed. Situation The Avenue is situated in the favoured Wallands area with its attractive period properties and tree lined roads. Nearby is the Lewes Old Grammar School and popular Wallands Primary School. The historic county town of Lewes offers an excellent range of amenities including mainline railway station (London/Victoria just over the hour), a variety of shops and specialist boutiques, monthly farmers market, supermarkets, leisure centre, tertiary college along with an excellent choice of schools. The universities of Sussex and Brighton and the coast at Brighton are about 5 and 9 miles respectively and the famous Glyndebourne Opera House is about 4 miles away on the outskirts of Ringmer."
