"A charming stone built detached house dating from the early 1800s and standing in an elevated position and commanding outstanding views to the south over its own land and the dale beyond. Situation Field House is situated to the east of the small market town of Middleton in Teesdale and occupies a spacious site which commands fine views over the dale to the south. The property well placed for easy access to Middleton and Barnard Castle and the wider regional and national road network. The East Coast Mainline is available from Darlington and air travel is available by Durham Tees Valley, Newcastle or Leeds/Bradford airports. The House The house is spacious and all the principal rooms enjoy the southerly aspect and have excellent natural lighting. A reception hall approached from the north has an adjoining cloakroom with wc and hand basin and gives access to a fine split level sitting room which is light and airy with views lovely outlooks to the south and west. The large dining room, with a staircase to the first floor has a door to the south garden and patio and has double doors through to a living room with an impressive fireplace with wood burning stove and a deep bay window. The adjoining kitchen is fitted with a good range of wall and floor units and a host of integrated appliances including double oven, hob and dishwasher and has a good larder store off, to the rear. There is a further good double bedroom to the south with an en suite bathroom with bath wc and hand basin and leading to a first floor conservatory with superb views over Teesdale. Another good bedroom is situated to the rear with an en suite bathroom opens into a conservatory with stunning views. There is a further single garage with access direct from the main road.
