Gorran itself is a small rural village with a store/sub post office, cricket field, Primary School, beautiful Norman Church and a public House. Gorran Haven is one mile towards the coast and provides a larger selection of amenities, a harbour and a beach. The Lost gardens of Heligan are 4 miles away and The Eden Project 14. Approximately 3 miles distant is Mevagissey, which is one of Cornwall?s few remaining working harbours and boasts the largest fishing fleet in St Austell Bay.
