SITUATION AND DESCRIPTION

Austen Place is within a mile of business sectors at Edgbaston and Five Ways. It is well located for access to the International Convention Centre, with its world renowned Symphony Hall, The National Indoor Arena, Birmingham Repertory Theatre and all the activities along the canalside at Brindleyplace. There are bus routes nearby at St James Road, and Five Ways in and out of the city centre, together with Five Ways Railway Station on the Cross City Lichfield to Redditch Line and just one stop away from New Street Station.

A wide range of schools for children of all ages is available in the vicinity, both in the state and private sectors. They include Hallfield Preparatory School, West House, Edgbaston High School for Girls, St George's School, The Priory School and The King Edward Foundation Schools. Harborne Infant and Junior School, St. Mary's R.C. School and St Peter's Church of England School and Chad Vale are also very convenient.

In addition the city centre offers some of the best shopping in the West Midlands. The Bullring Shopping Centre contains more than 140 shops including the only Selfridges department store outside of London and the exclusive Mailbox development has a host of designer shops including Armani and Harvey Nicholls.
