" A delightful Victorian residence offering superbly proportioned accommodation, typical of its period, set within wonderfully private gardens in Oldbury village near Bridgnorth. Bridgnorth - 1 mile, Ludlow - 19.8 miles, Telford - 13.3 miles, Wolverhampton - 15.1 miles, Kidderminster - 14.3 miles, Shrewsbury - 21.5 miles, Stourbridge - 14.9 miles, Birmingham - 27.8 miles, (All distances are approximate).

LOCATION Greensted is a delightful period house with four reception rooms and five double bedrooms. It is set in a Conservation Area with southerly views in the very popular village of Oldbury, within easy walking distance of the historic market town of Bridgnorth. Bridgnorth provides a full range of shopping facilities, primary and secondary schools, and sports facilities and swimming pool. The major commercial centres of Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham are within easy commuting distance, while Ludlows restaurants and festivals are only half an hours drive away. The town centre of Bridgnorth has lively weekend markets, the Severn Valley Railway, the Theatre on The Steps, an Art Deco cinema, restaurants, a G.P. Surgery and local hospital. The funicular Cliff Railway rises from the banks of the river Severn up to Castle Walk to give a stunning view over High Rock. The village of Oldbury has a friendly community, centred around the church and village hall. It is known for its quiet country lanes, bordering onto lovely Shropshire countryside and is an ideal location for walking, cycling and riding. Greensted is a charming home which has remained in the same family for over fifty years. The rear of the property dates back to the early 19th century with an Edwardian addition to the front. It is a lovely blend of period design and gives an opportunity for a new generation to make it into their own lifelong home. The MASTER BEDROOM and SECOND BEDROOM both have French windows onto lovely balconies overlooking the garden. One double bedroom retains two original doors so could easily be reinstated into two smaller rooms. There is a FAMILY BATHROOM with a bath, wash hand basin and WC and a SHOWER / WET ROOM with walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC. OUTSIDE The house sits comfortably in its mature GARDENS, approached from the lane by a wooden gate. The sweeping gravelled DRIVE extends round to the front of the house to provide a large wide southerly facing TERRACE with far reaching views, giving access to the main reception rooms and VINERY. Down the steps, winding PATHS meander past stone walls, roses, shrubberies and lawns to a small orchard area. There are many mature trees including a large Gingko, while on the main lawn is a circular rose bed with a stone bird bath. Take the next right turn onto the B4363 towards Cleobury Mortimer. Take the third turning on the left into Potseething Lane and follow the road around to the right where the property will be seen along on the left handside.
