" Our clients bought the plot in 1995 as they were so taken by the picturesque setting overlooking this delightful stretch of the River Thames and its close proximity to the friendly village of Shepperton. After exhaustive research, Scandia Hus were chosen to build their dream home, which was designed with an emphasis on space and light, encompassing a practical and adaptable layout. The quality of build, attention to detail and levels of insulation are quite exceptional, making this a very economical, energy efficient and comfortable home. Some of the many feature include, triple glazed windows and doors that can be locked in multiple positions; wider door and archways giving a greater feel of space, as well as wheel chain access; high levels of wall, loft and floor insulation; a heat recovery ventilation system and a log burning stove.
A practical covered ramped gangway leads to the high security front door that opens into a large square entrance hall with access by way of a retractable ladder to the insulated and boarded loft space. To the front enjoying southerly views over the river is the magnificent double aspect living room with its vaulted ceiling giving the room a tremendous feeling of space and light. To one side is a range of deep storage cupboards and to the front a pair of French doors open on to a deck with a retractable awning that provides welcome shade from the direct summer sun. To the rear of the house is a second sitting room that is a cosy tranquil room with a log burning stove, again being double aspect with French doors opening on to a covered veranda. The kitchen has been fitted in keeping with the Scandinavian style with a range of white flat fronted units with oiled oak worktops inset with a gas hob, cooker hood and a separate electric oven. Provision has been made for a microwave, dishwasher and upright fridge/freezer. There are three bedrooms, all with built in wardrobes and the master shares the ?Jack & Jill? family bathroom that has been fitted with a 3-piece white suite including a corner bath with a thermostatic shower over. To one side is a utility area with a separate sink and plumbing for a washing machine. In addition, there is a separate shower room. Council Tax Band: F "
