" Dacres, is a substantial ranch style bungalow constructed in 1986 in an attractive warm mellow stock brick under a pitched tiled roof, set on a large mature secluded south facing plot of 0.98 acre, tucked away at the foot of a private lane. You could easily be forgiven for thinking that you are in countryside and not within 19 miles of central London and only a short drive from major road networks. We are often asked about how the Shepperton area was effected by the flooding in the early part of 2014. The gardens and garage block at Dacres were effected by rising ground water but the bungalow was not, as it has been built on a higher level.

The wrought iron gates endorse the statement that you are entering a very special property, as well as providing the more practical task of keeping children and pets from wandering off. A long brick paviour drive sweeps to a large forecourt in front of the bungalow and gives access to the detached double garage with adjoining studio.

Upon entering the wide reception hall and you get a good feeling of space that is replicated throughout. The hall also provides a useful separation between the living accommodation and the bedrooms. To the front is a large open plan kitchen/family room that is the hub of the home with ample space for sofas, occasional furniture and a dining table. The kitchen area is fitted with a range of oak fronted units inset with a halogen hob, canopied cooker hood over and an electric oven under. To one side is a good sized utility room giving access to the garden, making it ideal for wet coats and wellies, as well as housing the laundry appliances. For those more formal occasions there is a separate dining room that is accessed via double doors from the living room and also returns to the kitchen via the utility room. The light and sunny living room is of a generous size with large picture windows overlooking the rear courtyard and has an impressive fireplace that makes a real statement.
All four bedrooms are double rooms, 3 of which have fitted wardrobes and the main an en-suite bathroom. The fully tiled family bathroom has recently been attractively refitted with a modern white suite including a double-ended bath and a walk-in shower. Council Tax Band: G "
