Situation

The busy harbour town of St Ives is home to the landmark Tate St Ives Gallery and the famous Barbara Hepworth Museum, displaying abstract sculpture against the colourful backdrop of the working fishing harbour and the sea beyond. St Ives has attracted artists since the 19th century, due to its inspiring scenery and the renowned clarity of light. This setting is bordered by three beautiful sandy beaches, Porthmeor Beach, Porthminster Beach being the largest, and the beautiful Carbis
Bay beach next door, which are repeatedly voted among the best in the British Isles.

St Ives is one of the most beautiful and well known Cornish harbour towns with a myriad of fishing boats moored alongside the original granite piers of this historic port. Situated between Land's End and St Agnes, it is the ideal centre for touring and visiting the glorious coast and moors of West Cornwall.

The old town of St Ives is a maze of cobbled streets with many picturesque fishermen's cottages, artists studios and galleries. It is also renowned as a 'foodie' destination with numerous restaurants, pubs and cafes offering a wide range of menus and the local catches.

At nearby Lelant, overlooking the Hayle Estuary, there is the spectacular West Cornwall links golf course which enjoys views that stretch out towards Godrevy Lighthouse. The Minack Open
Air Theatre at Porthcurno is 18 miles distant and the Eden Project near St Austell, about 48 miles distant.
