General note The studio had been previously owned by the sculptor Barbara Tribe. In 1948 Barbara escaped the memories of war torn London, moved to Cornwall and bought the local Baptist Sunday School. Later, after renovating the school Barbara moved in and re-named the property The Studio. There Barbara continued to make many famous pieces over the next fifty years.

Directions From Penzance proceed along the promenade towards Newlyn. Upon reaching the village take the B3315 signposted Lamorna. Carry along this road for approximately two miles until you reach Sheffield. The property can be found on your left.

Location The village of Paul is but a short walk away and has a public house and church. The picturesque former fishing village of Mousehole also enjoys, public houses and village stores. The larger town of Penzance is approximately two miles distant with is supermarkets, banks and both train and railway stations.
