Creek Cottage is a very attractive semi detached period cottage within the picturesque creekside village of Malpas. The location is very pleasant, just yards from the river with creek glimpses from the sitting room. The owners of Creek Cottage have use of the private slipway. It is possible to hire moorings in the creek (more information from Truro Harbour Master). The cottage has attractive stone front elevations and a sizeable extension was added some years ago and there is potential to enlarge further, subject to gaining necessary planning consent. The accommodation includes sititing room with wood burning stove, kitchen/dining room, ground floor double bedroom, first floor shower room and bedroom. The cottage is double glazed. At the rear is an enclosed lawned garden, at the front and side is parking for three vehicles. An internal viewing is absolutely essential. The village lies two miles downriver from Truro City and is now a very sought after residential locality with the local public house The Heron Inn at the centre. Malpas is widely known for its safe anchorage and mooring facilities, there are also a number of pleasure boats which regularly disembark passengers at the nearby slipway. The whole area is also designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and the tidal river is notable for its large Heronry and ever increasing population of the Egrets as well as Cormorants and Shellduck and the occasional seal. The city of Truro is less than a five minute drive and here there is a wide range of shops, schools, restaurants, banks, building societies and the main line railway link to London (Paddington).
