Situation and Description Believed to date from the Eighteenth Century, we are told this very spacious house of great character has been the home of at least two seafarers. The house is listed Grade II and still retains many of its original features including some lovely period fireplaces, panelled doors (some with original furniture) and sash windows. It should be noted however that the house would benefit from modernisation and refurbishment although gas central heating has been installed. Mention should also be made of the two principal reception rooms, both of which are well proportioned and have large bow windows facing south and looking out over the lovely lawned garden at the front of the property

. The picturesque Village of Shaldon has a great smuggling history and is well known for its quaint little streets and alleyways together with its pretty cottages and grand Georgian houses. The village extends along the southern side of the beautiful Teign Estuary and offers a good selection of local shops including; a butcher, baker, chemist, general store, boutique and newsagent. There are also a number of village inns and restaurants. The city of Exeter and M5 motorway are some twenty minutes drive away. Leisure activities are very much water based with sailing, angling, swimming and diving available either in the river Teign itself or from the nearby coves and beaches of beautiful South Devon.
