" If you are looking for a home that offers a wealth of character, charm and quality of fitments, then please step inside this Victorian home. Before stopping into the house, look down to see the tiles at your feet. This should immediately tell you the owners here have tried to preserve as much character as possible. If you are lucky, the owners may have a roaring fire going in the lounge within the beautiful original fireplace. For the true purist among you, you will see and admire the sash windows, picture rails and panelled doors that all adds to the feel of this wonderful home. It is not just the ‘step back in time’ that visitors will appreciate, it is also the quality of the fitments. The wiring, plumbing and even the roof have been upgraded in the owners’ time here, giving peace of mind that the house is not just pretty, but also strong, safe and secure. The location is also worthy of mentioning, the views from the front of the house are far reaching in a northerly direction across the river, the sports fields and even up to the North Downs. A five to ten minute walk takes you to Tonbridge High Street and the train station, giving a travel time to London City in approximately 35-40 minutes, and a 10-15 minute walk the other way, will take you into the beautiful Haysden Country Park for those lovely Sunday afternoon strolls.

What the Owner says:

On coming into our 3 bedroom Victorian semi, you get the feeling of home and we have been here over 10 years. We were lucky to find a Victorian house with all it's features in place: it's fireplaces, sash windows, panelled doors and picture rails. Since living here, we have installed new plumbing and gas central heating, new wiring, a new kitchen and bathroom and the roof has been re-slated. We have retained the best Victorian style and enhanced it with touches like the parquet flooring, slate tiles and Bisque radiators. The fireplaces are working and make the house extra cosy on cold evenings. The garden faces southwest and allows us to have a vegetable patch and is a real sun trap.
