" With a delightful setting in the charming and sought-after village of Shoreham, this delightful four-bedroom home was originally two separate cottages built in the early 18th century and now converted into one generous family home. The Grade II-listed property is notable for its attractive front elevations with a pleasingly symmetrical façade with attractive windows offering good natural light and ornate doors set within deep stucco frames. Internally the house offers further character features including stone fireplaces, exposed timbers, and tiled and parquet floors.

The house has been a much loved home for the same family for the last 50 years and was extended twice in the 1970s and 80s, now offering accommodation of just under 2,500 square feet. Winslade Cottage would benefit from some cosmetic updating, offering a fantastic opportunity for modernisation while respecting the charm and history of the home.

The versatile and adaptable layout briefly currently comprises a family room, home office, dining family room and sitting room to the front of the house, a central kitchen, dining area, cloakroom and workshop to the rear. There are four good size bedrooms on the first floor, plus an additional cloakroom and family bathroom. There are also a number of storage areas and built in cupboards throughout the house.

Situation
The popular village of Shoreham nestles beside the river Darent, which winds through the North Downs providing a wide choice of footpaths and bridleways including the Darent Valley Path. The village benefits from a number of amenities including a local store, golf club, primary school, well-regarded pubs and a tea shop. Further amenities can be found in nearby Sevenoaks (approx. 5 miles) where there is shopping, restaurants and a wealth of educational facilities. Shoreham station and nearby Otford have rail links to London VictoriaBlackfriars including Thameslink services, whilst Sevenoaks has fast and frequent commuter services to Charing Cross and Cannon Street.

Outside
The property occupies a good size plot at the heart of the village, moments from the village store and benefits from lovely views to the front and rear. To the front of the house there is a lawned garden, with a gravel driveway to the side providing off-street parking and access to a double garage. The mature rear garden is deceptively large with a generous lawn and a variety of trees, many of which produce stunning blossom in season. There is also a detached two-storey barn which has much potential to suit a buyer-s needs.
