" This handsome semi-detached town house is thought to date back to 1897, the year in which Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee but also the year the first publication of "Country Life" magazine went on sale. Although this home is certainly of that calibre, its premium position within the Dry Hill area is possibly a little too central. On approaching the house the wrought iron balcony effect and sash windows show off the property's fabulous character. The quarry tile flooring to the Porch and glazed wood front door are small features but add to the splendour. The Entrance Hall is long and has a high ceiling typical of the period. The Sitting Room and Dining Area stretch to nearly 30ft. with feature fireplaces and sash windows overlooking the garden. The modern fitted Kitchen and Breakfast Room is a real focal point for this family home providing a great space for family meals and entertaining alike. Behind the Kitchen is a very useful Utility Room. To the first floor there is a Master Bedroom with en suite Shower Room, two further double Bedrooms and a family Bathroom. On the second floor there are two double Bedrooms. External benefits include an attractive paved driveway with off-road parking for 2/3 vehicles. The rear garden is laid to lawn and patio and there is side access to the front of the house.

Location
Occupying a fine position in a sought-after conservation area on the northern side of the town conveniently located for the town centre and about three quarters of a mile from the main line station. Ideally situated for Tonbridge public school, Hilden Grange and Hilden Oaks preparatory schools. Tonbridge is an historic market town surrounded by glorious countryside and with parts dating back to Saxon times. It is centred around the Medway river and features Kent's best example of a Motte and Bailey Gatehouse at Tonbridge Castle. A colourful history intertwines tales of Kings and tyrants, heroes and mercenaries and there are links with famous literary figures. Modern day life focuses on the many excellent Private and State Schools of all grades and an easy commute to London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross. There are two markets in the town - one held every Saturday and the popular well-known Kent Farmers' Market on the second Sunday of each month. Recreational pursuits in the area include golf courses and squash courts at Poult Wood and Nizels and Tonbridge Sports Ground provides swimming pools, tennis courts, riverside walks and cycle path to Penshurst.
