The Granary, Bowsden West Farm is a charming four double bedroomed home formed from the conversion of this stone built steading building. The semi-detached house offers spacious and well balanced accommodation, with four double bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of which is en suite, a study, a kitchen and a large reception room. Bowsden is a popular village located some 9 miles to the south of the region?s principal town of Berwick upon Tweed with its comprehensive infrastructure including supermarkets, shops, schooling and leisure facilities; including the award winning Maltings Theatre. The A1 is within easy reach providing access to the regional and national road networks. Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne are both roughly an hour?s drive. Berwick upon Tweed also has a mainline station with access to the East Coast line and has regular services to Edinburgh (40mins) and Newcastle upon Tyne (45mins) as well as London some three and half hours to the south.
Berwick upon Tweed is England?s most northerly town and a few miles south of the Scottish Border. North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders are steeped in history and offer a wide choice of leisure pursuits. With the coast being on the door step, there are opportunities for fishing, sailing, swimming or just enjoying the local beaches. With the Cheviots and Lammermuirs close at hand, there are many hillwalking and country sports possibilities.
