" Commanding south facing, stone built house set in an elevated position in the popular coastal town of Eyemouth. Current EPC rating 54 (band E)



Summerhill is an extremely handsome stone built house with an ideal quantity of south facing garden and an excellent arrangement of internal accommodation. The property is set in a private and elevated position with mature trees around the boundary and a pretty walled garden to the rear. Built in the 1870s, the property was originally built for a local pastor before being purchased by a prominent fish merchant.

On the ground floor, the accommodation is arranged around an attractive reception hallway with solid wood flooring. Light floods the staircase from a Rennie Mackintosh style stained glass window on the half landing.

The principal reception rooms comprise of an elegant dining room which has an ornately carved oak room divider. The living room has excellent proportions with high ceilings, detailed cornicing, a large open fireplace and bay window overlooking the front garden.

The terraced garden area is currently laid to lawn with a productive vegetable garden nearby. There is a brick based greenhouse (5.2m x 3m) with mains power and light ensuring year round produce.
