SITUATION The property is situated in the attractive village of Haselbury Plucknett where the properties are largely constructed of hamstone, including the handsome church of St Michael and All Angels. The village has a popular primary school and a public house. The vibrant small market town of Crewkerne is nearby and offers most local amenities, including a Waitrose supermarket and a direct rail link to London Waterloo. The A303 trunk road linking London to the South West is within easy reach and the M5 (J25) can be joined at Taunton. Exeter Airport is 34 miles distant. Yeovil is the commercial centre for the area with excellent shopping and leisure facilities. The World Heritage Jurassic coastline at Charmouth and Lyme Regis are to the south. The area is also well served by both state and independent schools including Perrott Hill, Sherborne, Millfield at Street, Hazelgrove, Port Regis and Leweston. The property was originally a workers cottage as part of the Vicount Portman Estate, but was sold at auction in 1924.
