" If your idea of cottage living includes low ceilings, exposed beams, rustic features and bags and bags of character, then you'll love this little gem! Homes like this often conjure a feeling of cosy 'nooks and crannies', especially during the winter months, whilst during the summer, one would expect an idyllic garden in which to laze around, sipping home-made lemonade and ginger beer. Well, I can't vouch for the drinks, but the rest is about right. From the moment that you enter, it is immediately apparent how this lovely well maintained property has been cherished by the current owners. The comfortable sitting room with its full height exposed brick fireplace has a Clearview multi-fuel stove and let's face it, in a room this size, you are sure to be as warm as toast when it's on full blast (and probably fast asleep in its glowing warmth!) The rustic theme continues when entering the refitted kitchen/dining room with its range of cupboards and base units and there is even an olde-worlde inglenook which houses the range style electric cooker. Upstairs, the impressive bathroom has also been refitted, including a shower over the bath, complete with over sized shower head. Both bedrooms may safely be described as 'doubles'. Outside, there is a generous rear garden with a raised lawned area and dedicated paved seating area with pergola above; ideal for supping that home-made lemonade and ginger beer! One great thing about living here is the fact that it is within walking distance of local shops and amenities, as well as being within the catchment area of the highly acclaimed Bishop Heber High School. You feel that you can be 'part of the community' when you live here and for that reason alone, it is why you should book an appointment to view.
