" A unique single storey residence designed by the renowned architect Peter Foggo set within its own enclosed southwest facing gardens and situated just yards from Wimbledon Common and the village.

This individual house was built in 1963 by architects Peter Foggo (1930 ? 1993) and David Thomas representing the best of classic modernist design. Peter Foggo was listed in 2006, as one of the 40 most influential individuals impacting the building industry during the previous 40 years. Peter Foggo's best known works include No.1 Finsbury Avenue and the first four phases of The Broadgate Development including The Arena.

Built in 1963, the house retains virtually all the original features. It was inspired by Mies van der Rohe's pavilion style Farnsworth house and Barcelona pavilion with floor-to-ceiling glass at the front and back with south-west and north-east aspects. Internally, the rectangular plan comprises two wings and a central core; to the left three bedrooms and two bathrooms, at the centre the open plan entrance leads to a study on either side of the front entrance lobby and to the right leads into a large reception room across the full width of the house which looks out onto the gardens to front and rear. The central core contains the kitchen and separate utility room and the two bathrooms under a raised clerestory ceiling flooding the house with natural light. Further to the right the later extension contains the master bedroom and en-suite, a large dressing room lobby and a study, utility room and garage.
