THE VILLAGE OF DAMERHAM
Damerham lies close to the borders of Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, situated on both sides of the River Allen in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the pattern of narrow lanes and paths linking the groups of buildings around the flower-rich water meadows. The village boasts one of the finest village halls in South-West Hampshire and an excellent village school (The Western Downland Primary School), The Compasses village inn offering quality food, accommodation and real ales; The Church of St George is a Grade I listed building which means that it is of exceptional interest. It may have been founded in the Saxon period when King Edmund held estates here. The Damerham Fisheries were established in the early seventies it has now landscaped itself comfortably into the chalk stream Allen River Valley, developed with the sole pleasure of trout fishing in mind.
DIRECTIONS
From our office in Fordingbridge continue along the High Street forking right with the road into Shaftesbury Street and on into Station Road. Continue on this road out of Fordingbridge, through Sandleheath and on into Damerham, proceed over the bridge, turn right (signposted Martin) and follow this road where the property will be found some distance out of the village on the left hand side.
