" One of a small terrace of character houses, situated in this sought-after village between Winchester and Alresford. Avington is the perfect place to live for those seeking a semi-rural lifestyle, whilst being within easy striking distance of towns and the road and rail links to London and beyond.

Chandos Terrace was built in the 1990's and was sympathetically designed to blend alongside the character and period homes in this picturesque village. No. 3 has been beautifully extended on the ground floor to create a light and airy garden room, which is open plan from the kitchen, with ample space for some seating as well as a dining table and chairs. Double doors open to a terrace and the pretty southerly-facing garden. Off the entrance hall is a cloakroom and a spacious sitting room, which has a wood burning stove ans stairs to the first floor. Upstairs, are three good-sized bedrooms and a shower room with a white suite.

Outside to the front, the property is approached over a gravelled driveway, where there are two allocated parking spaces, a wood store and bin store. The secluded garden is a particular feature; it has been carefully landscaped to make the most of its sloping site and features a small lawn, paved seating area, a mature apple tree and steps up to a top garden that has been planted as a small orchard.

Located close to Itchen Abbas, Avington is a small village in the Itchen Valley, centred around Avington Park. The area is located within the beautiful South Downs National Park and is surrounded by stunning countryside and has excellent walking opportunities. Good local pubs can be found in nearby Itchen Abbas, Easton and Ovington. The village has a church and a popular golf course. There is an excellent choice of independent and state schools to choose from in the immediate area, including Princes Mead and St Swithuns, both of which are a short drive away.

Avington is situated between the market town of Alresford and the village of Easton with a regular bus route running through nearby Itchen Abbas taking you through Kingsworthy to Winchester, where there are mainline train services to London. Alresford is a beautiful Georgian town known for its variety of independent shops, restaurants and inns. Attractions include the Watercress steam railway and an active and inclusive community. The cathedral city of Winchester is about 7 miles away and there is easy access to the south coast, the midlands and London via the road network. There is also mainline rail access to London from both Winchester and Alton. Southampton airport is only about half an hour away by car.
