DETAILS Overview
Housenetwork.co.uk are pleased to offer this pretty cottage style house nestling in the desirable village of Lockeridge, three miles west of Marlborough in the picturesque Pewsey Vale area. The village is off the main A4 beside the meadows of the Manor House, known as Lockeridge House and next to the mainstay of the village, which is 'The Who'd o' Thought It' pub, known for its good food.

The original house was built in the Arts and Crafts Style in the vernacular of the Pub, with steeply pitched tiled roof and dormers giving generous space to the first floor Bedrooms which have peaceful views over the adjacent meadow. The original house has been extended to provide Utility rooms and Office/Bedroom on the ground floor and spacious Main Bedroom on the first floor. The construction of the extension is to the latest Building Standards and consists of generous insulation to walls, floor and roof including under floor heating to the ground floor area. The original walls have been cavity insulated, as has the roof pitch and ceiling to the attic space. The remainder of the house is centrally heated by radiators off an oil fired boiler situated in the utility room.

The inside of the house has been opened out and provides open Living Room and Dining Room separated by an oak beamed double open fireplace; the Living Room having a double aspect over the meadow and the rear garden which is enclosed and south facing. The Dining Room also faces south and has double glazed hardwood French doors giving onto the paved and pebbled patio. There is a generous Kitchen, with modern units and appliances, also looking over the meadow and the rear garden. At the bottom of the garden is provision for off street parking for two cars.

There is an outhouse at the rear, which is presently used for storage, but potentially could be used as a garden room/playroom with relatively little outlay, say to install a set of sliding/folding glazed doors facing the garden.
