LOCKERIDGE Lockeridge village is one of the most sought after villages in the Kennet Valley with an excellent Primary School (which feeds into St Johns Secondary school in Marlborough) and well attended Pub, 'The Who'd a Thought it'. The village provides convenient access to Marlborough 3 miles, Pewsey 7 miles (with mainline station to Paddington), whilst also enjoying direct access onto the Marlborough Downs and West Woods, originally forming part of the Savernake Forest now extending to approx 600 acres. The Wansdyke passes through to the south and east. The village is also famous for its natural deposit of Sarsen Stones, known as Grey Wethers because of their resemblance to sheep. Earlier this century the National Trust acquired land to preserve the stones in their natural setting. THE PROPERTY Built in the 1930's Rhyls Cottages are three red brick semi detached houses, backing onto and overlooking open countryside on the southern edge of this most sought after village. With views up towards West woods and numerous paths within 2 minutes walk of the front door whilst being within 3 miles of the bustling centre of Marlborough this property offers the best of both worlds. Extended over the last 7 years it now offers great sized family accommodation presented in good order throughout. The best way to get a feel for a property is to have a wander over. UPSTAIRS Walking up onto the study/landing area with window to the rear enjoying lovely views towards West Woods, telephone connections, access to the loft and built in airing cupboard. We will turn right at the top of the staircase and into the shower room, which has been recently refitted with a walk in shower enclosure, toilet, oval feature sink with mixer tap over, vanity unit below and a heated towel rail.
