" An absolutely charming and characterful three bedroom thatched cottage with a good size garden offering a high degree of privacy, in the heart of this popular village. The cottage is delightfully quirky with a wealth of period features, including exposed beams and brickwork, with the added benefit of a generous kitchen and bright and airy garden room. Of particular note are the two fireplaces in the front two reception rooms, one with an inset wood store. A central family room has excellent storage cupboards and leads into the well appointed kitchen. This is a fabulous space with a selection of fitted cupboards, central island, integrated double oven, ceramic hob and extractor, space for dishwasher with a stable door to the adjoining patio/sun terrace. The garden room offers flexible living space, is half glazed and has double doors to the garden. There is generous family bathroom and guest cloakroom/WC. Two separate staircases lead to the first floor, one to the master bedroom with en suite shower room and storage cupboard and adjoining study area and the second to two further bedrooms. At the top of the stairs there is access (restricted)between all of the bedrooms which is ideal for small children or occasional use. Broadband guaranteed speed in the village is 23Mb.

Situation
Aldbourne is a well regarded village centred on The Square with a traditional village green and duck pond as well as a good range of shops including two village shops, post office, two pubs, garage and a parish church. The attractive market towns of Hungerford (Rail services to London Paddington 1hr 15mins) and Marlborough are close by and provide a more extensive range of shopping. The commercial centre of Swindon is approximately 7 miles and provides a main line station with services to London or the West Country. The M4 motorway can be reached at either junction 15 or junction 14. Aldbourne is within the catchment area of the popular St Johns Academy in Marlborough and has a highly rated local primary school, St Michaels.
