" DESCRIPTION Field House is large semi detached former farm workers cottage situated in a delightful rural area with lovely views over the adjoining countryside. Originally constructed in 1947, the property was sympathetically extended by the current owners in 2004 and today offers excellent accommodation arranged over two floors extending to around 1,491 sq.ft.and boasts much of its original character. The layout includes a light and airy living room with chestnut wood flooring, fireplace with wood burning stove and French doors opening to the garden, a 20' kitchen/breakfast room has a rustic farmhouse feel and also features a wood burning stove with a useful utility and wc off whilst the original sitting room adds a useful snug or study. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, all with lovely views over the surrounding fields whilst the master bedroom has its own en suite shower room in addition to the family bathroom.

The large 0.2 acre garden is a delight and has been well maintained and bounded by mature hedges. To the front is a gravelled driveway providing ample parking for several cars whilst the main gardens lies to the side and rear and have an abundance of colourful shrubs plants and trees with lawned areas and a useful store shed.  

SITUATION The property is located on the rural edge of the highly sought after hamlet of Foxley within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, situated just 2 miles from the market town of Malmesbury and 3 miles from the popular village of Sherston whilst the renowned Vine Tree public house at Norton is within walking distance. Malmesbury is an ancient hilltop town situated on the southern edge of The Cotswolds. Traditionally a market town serving the rural area of North West Wiltshire, the town is reputed to be the oldest borough in England created by Charter in 880 AD by Alfred the Great. Today, the High Street has numerous independent shops, pubs and restaurants including a new Waitrose store and a regular weekly Farmer's market whilst the town has excellent choice of both primary and secondary schools and good recreational and leisure facilities. The M4 motorway (J17) to the south provides fast road access to the major employment centres of Bristol and Swindon together with London and the West Country. Main line rail services are available from Chippenham and Kemble (Paddington in about 75 minutes).  "
