" Having moved here in the war in 1944, it is difficult to not be fascinated by the picture that is painted from the memories the current owner Alan has of this home. Coming from an exceptionally large family, with all of them living under the same roof together, it is safe to say you will fall in love with the charm of this lovely home. With 3 good size bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom as well as 2 reception rooms downstairs, it's no wonder this "tardis" managed to house a family of 13! The garden, thanks to it's size, has hosted many celebratory gatherings including weddings and birthdays. Although Alan no longer lives here, he has done a superb job in getting the house ready to market. He informs us that he has had a new boiler and central heating system fitted - taking the chill off of those winter nights! He has also had the electrics done, a new bathroom fitted, the kitchen re-tiled, laminate flooring put down and all of the rooms re-decorated. Everything has been done though in a neutral style leaving enough scope for the new buyers to add a touch of themselves to this well cared for, well loved, memorable family home. If all this wasn't enough, the property is ideally situated for Mitcham Junction station which is just half a mile away and offers direct trains to London meaning that early morning commute can soon become a thing of the past. Alan is also offering the house with the added benefit of no onward chain so is available immediately.

What the Owner says:

This house has been in the family since 1944. I know this because we moved here after our other house in Tewkesbury Road got bombed in the war! I can remember it like it was yesterday, there were 13 of us. I had 6 brothers and 4 sisters and with Mum and Dad, it was fair to say it was a tight squeeze round that dinner table! Unbelievably though, I always remember the house as somewhere that was big enough for all of us. We've had 4 weddings and a 21st birthday party too! I think the big garden helps with hosting those kind of events! 67 Years on and the house now has to be sold and I hope the new owners will have as many happy memories here as I have had.
