" is situated amongst gently undulating Hertfordshire countryside about five minutes drive from the small town of Buntingford. This period house is believed to date back to the 17th century, the oldest part is traditionally constructed with a timber frame and rendered elevations under a neat peg tiled roof. The house has been extended, most recently by the addition of a Garden Room at the back of the house, which has windows on three sides and benefits from very pleasant views over the well established garden. The house has generally been well maintained, but there is some scope to extend and update the fixtures and fittings. The property is not Listed.
Outside, the property is approached along a private road. Twin driveways lead past the two bedroom cottage to a courtyard at the front of the house, double garage and adjoining office. In addition, there is a period barn which is weatherboarded with a corrugated roof, which provides generous storage. The grounds are very much a feature, well established and stocked with many mature trees and herbaceous borders. There is a greenhouse and chicken run and, screened from the house, a heated pool. Beyond the formal gardens there is a meadow, pond and a hard tennis court. Although there are neighbours in the vicinity, the house is generally in a rural and secluded position, not overlooked and with fine open views.
