" The Old Post Office is a delightful Grade II Listed detached village residence dating back to the late 17th century. It has been renovated and decorated to a good standard and is surprisingly light and spacious for a cottage. The original property is of a timber frame construction under a thatched and tiled roof and still retains many period features including open fireplaces to the principle reception rooms and a wealth of exposed timbers. The reception hallway has a Fired Earth brick floor and staircase to the first floor. The hall links to the sitting room with a feature red brick fireplace with open hearth. The study/snug has an open fireplace and side fitted cabinet with shelving. The superb bespoke kitchen/dining/family room has an oak floor with under-floor heating, an excellent range of shaker style base and wall cabinets with granite work surfaces and range cooker. French doors lead out to the stone patio with views to the garden. From the entrance hall (to the left) are 2 ground floor bedrooms, one with fitted wardrobes and a well appointed shower room. The first floor offers a good size landing, 2 further bedrooms; both with fitted wardrobes and a spacious bathroom.
Outside, the double gate entrance leads to a gravelled driveway and parking area with space for several vehicles. There is a garage/carport (approx. 28' x 18' 9") with twin up-and-over doors, power and light and an inspection pit. The delightful gardens are a particular feature of the property with areas of lawn, flower and shrub beds and mature trees including walnut and fig. There is an attractive landscaped rear terrace and large patio. The gardens extend to approx. 78ft x 76ft max.Directions
