Tel: 01954 713149 Steeple Morden Steeple Morden is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England, and is part of the South Cambridgeshire local government district. As of the 2001 census the population is 963. The area of the parish is 1,549 hectares (3,830 acres).
The parish is combined with the parishes of Abington Pigotts, Guilden Morden and Tadlow to form 'The Mordens' ward, which is represented on South Cambridgeshire District Council by one councillor. During World War II there was an airfield at RAF Steeple Morden, east of the village. The site of the airfield has now been returned to agricultural use. Steeple Morden today has a superb primary school in the village and following from this children usually attend Bassingbourn Village College which has scored very well in the reports published. Within Bassingbourn Village College is the sports centre which has opened recently. Both Ashwell and Royston Rail Stations are minutes away by car, and so is the A505 and A1.
