" Lordship Stables Dating from the 16th century this fine brick building was originally part of the adjoining estate known as The Lordship and probably provided stables or a coaching house. The building is Grade II Listed and considered to be of historical and architectural merit and is constructed of a mellow red brick set under a pitched and tiled roof. The property is approached through a remote controlled timber field gate to a private driveway which leads to two properties, Lordship Stables and The Gardeners Cottage. There is a courtyard between the properties where there is generous parking for four or five cars. A second driveway runs beside and behind the Stables, where there is an area of hardstanding; we understand that about half of this area is in the ownership of Lordship Stables. The Lordship has a right of access to this area, but no right to park.

The property has considerable character and includes an impressive entrance hall with staircase to the first floor, a heavily timbered drawing room with a lofty ceiling, a dining room in the centre of the house and a kitchen/breakfast room and utility room. On the first floor, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The garden is accessed from the kitchen and is laid to lawn with shrubs as well as mature coniferous and deciduous trees. We are able to offer the property with immediate vacant possession and no onward chain.Directions

From Bishop's Stortford, if you head west on the A120 and reach the Hadham lights - turn left here going through Little Hadham. Just as you enter Much Hadham there is a turn on the right hand side - Bromley Lane and just a little beyond you will see a timber gate on the left hand side just adjacent to a red brick barn - this is the turning to the property. As you go into the courtyard, the barn is on the left hand side. If you reach The Lordship - a substantial period house set back and a left hand turn to Bishop's Stortford you have gone too far. "
