" With living space of almost 1700sq. ft. this semi-detached, three level Victorian house already has a great layout with a 25ft knocked-through reception and 22ft knocked-through kitchen/diner. It's the sort of property we'd love to get our hands on - only a little cosmetic upgrading would transform it into a knockout family home. It's uncluttered and clean, has five fine double bedrooms, a first floor family bathroom and separate shower room and a cellar that's large enough to use as a utility, playroom, studio or cinema room. The rear garden is paved, reaches almost 44ft and has modern high fencing. Turf it, train climbers around the fence and add a flowerbed or two. There's a side gate so you can reach the garden from the front after parking on your drive. There's bound to be floorboards under the upstairs carpets and Victorian fireplaces are easily reinstated. But that's what we'd do, what is more interesting is what would you do to this house if you bought it?

Crofton Park trains get you to Elephant & Castle, Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon and St Pancras. Brockley station is a 10-minute walk for zone 2 trains to London Bridge and Victoria plus London Overground services (Canada Water, Shoreditch, Hoxton Dalston Junction and Highbury & Islington). Beecroft and St Mary Magdalen's are two excellent primary schools and just a 5-minute walk away. You're in catchment for Prendergast, Harris Girls', Harris Boys' and St Thomas the Apostle. You'll find some superb drinking holes nearby-Mr Lawrence Wine Bar, The Brockley Jack (which also shows excellent fringe theatre) and Jam Circus are firm faves. The Rivoli Ballroom holds regular events and The Brockley Mess is a good cheap eat. Many excellent independent shops and are close and Brockley Market is an excellent Saturday food market held at Lewisham Way.
