" Situated in this popular village setting with a rural outlook adjoining Surrey countryside is this delightful five-bedroom home, built circa 1860. This semi-detached property forms part of a former Victorian manse and has a charming Tudor-revival front fa?ade, with the windows to the front being of a bespoke timber-framed construction. The well-proportioned interiors benefit from many character features, including exposed beams, original fireplaces and solid wood doors, and are arranged across a versatile and well-proportioned layout which has been improved and extended by the current owner, with further scope to extend to the rear (planning permission granted ref: MO/2018/1141). A welcoming entrance hall leads to two generous reception rooms: a 15ft sitting room with bay window and attractive fireplace with original tile surround, and a separate dining room with views over the rear garden. To the rear there is a farmhouse-style kitchen/breakfast room with a good variety of wall and base units, with access to an adjacent utility room with additional storage. A modern shower room completes the ground floor.
On the first floor, the five good-size bedrooms are arranged around a central landing, where there is also access to a boarded loft. The master bedroom is very spacious with a Jack and Jill door to the family bathroom, fitted with a P-shaped bath with power shower. Three further bedrooms are also double size, with an additional single bedroom currently used as a study. Outside, access to the property is via a private lane, with parking for several cars possible on a shared tarmac drive to the front, where there is also an integral garage extending to 18ft and supplied with both power and lighting. The rear garden is of an excellent size and has been landscaped to include a lawn divided by raised beds and an arbour featuring a rambling rose. Further plant stock includes ornamental trees, a fruiting cooking apple and a Mediterranean-style pebble garden to the rear. The garden also features a Yorkstone patio, well and wood shed, with a gated side path providing road-free access to local walks.
