" Chadhurst is a delightful house, originally forming half of a period farmhouse, believed to date from the 17th Century set in 3.2 acres of gardens and grounds. The house offers adaptable accommodation over three floors plus a wine cellar/utility room. Many original and period features have been retained including latch doors, fireplaces and stoves. Perhaps the most interesting features can be found in the main reception room where original meat hooks still hang from ceiling, as this room was, at one point, the kitchen to the house. The accommodation is shown on the attached floorplan but briefly comprises a drawing room, dining room, kitchen in a shaker style with granite work surfaces and AGA, leading to the breakfast room, rear lobby and downstairs cloakroom. on the first floor can be found the generous bedroom suite, with not only built in wardrobes and dresser but a separate dressing area with yet more wardrobes, housing a clever study area at present. This suite offers a shower room, recently refitted by our clients. Two bedrooms can also be found on this floor and the family bathroom, a staircase leads up to the second floor where another two bedrooms can be found, connected by another highly useable area, currently used as a play room albeit this space could have a multitude of potential uses.
