" This interesting property was a former home of the Architect, John Stammers, who built it to his own specifications in the early 1950's and indeed featured in the Ideal Home magazine of the period.

The property features large windows with sliding patio doors which take full advantage of the elevated south facing position. The house has double glazing and an upgraded dual central heating system for the main house and adjoining annexe. The property provides spacious and adaptable accommodation throughout with features of note including the recently installed en suite bathroom including a Bette bath with shower over, bidet and separate WC, whilst the family bathroom retains the original suite with a large cast iron bath and 50's style wash hand basin.

At the rear of the property are a small range of outbuildings including a utility room approached by a covered passage way which also leads to the adjoining annexe incorporating the tandem double garage. On the ground floor the annexe comprises an entrance hall, kitchen and bathroom and on the half landing a double bedroom. On the first floor there is a sitting room leading through to another large double bedroom.

The property is approached via a long gravelled driveway with electronically controlled entrance gate leading to an extensive parking area. Adjacent to the garages on the south side of the house is a wide sun terrace and all the principle rooms in the house face south. The gardens are principally laid to lawn with an attractive feature pond, mature ornamental trees, flowering shrubs and flowering borders. The gardens offer a high degree of privacy both to the front and the rear of the property. In all the grounds extend to about 0.6 acres

The property is set in a convenient and sought after location within 0.6 of a mile north of Reigate town centre. Reigate provides a comprehensive range of shops and boutiques. There is a good number of restaurants, cafes and bars. It is ideally situated for the commuter with both Reigate and Redhill stations being easily accessible providing connections to London Bridge and Victoria. The M25 Junction 8 is under a mile to the north with links to London and the wider motorway network. For the frequent air traveller Gatwick Airport is around 9 miles distant whilst Heathrow Airport is within 30 miles. The area is particularly well served with state and independent schools for all ages including Holmesdale, The Priory, Dunottar and Reigate Grammar. There is good walking and riding locally on Reigate Hill, Reigate Heath and The North Downs Way. For golfers nearby courses include Reigate Hill and Reigate Heath. "
