" An attractive and well-presented detached period house, having been extended to provide spacious family living, with lovely private gardens. Situated in this desirable village, in the South Oxfordshire countryside and close to both Reading & Henley on Thames town centres.

The original part of the house was built circa 1905 and then extended by the current owners, providing excellent family living space, with four well proportioned reception rooms, a spacious family kitchen and five bedrooms and three bathroomshower rooms. There is ample parking to the front and the rear garden, enjoys a south westerly aspect, with a high degree of privacy and a kitchen garden.

Location
Gallowstree Common is a very popular village location approximately 6 miles from both Reading and Henley centre`s and approx. a mile from Sonning Common, with a good range of shops, including a health centre, post office, village hall and library. There is also excellent schooling for all ages.
Henley on Thames is a busy prominent town, under an hour`s drive from west London and home to Henley Royal Regatta. Excellent shopping, with a variety of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants and public houses as well as serving the everyday needs. Waitrose supermarket and a large Tesco. Reading station offers an excellent service to London Paddington (under 30 minutes) and with Crossrail also due to start this year.

Accommodation
Covered porch, with entrance door to the spacious reception hall, with cloakroom WC. Double doors open to both the sitting and dining rooms, both are spacious with double aspects, the sitting room having an open fireplace and two sets of double doors opening onto the garden. The kitchenbreakfast room is also a good size, the kitchen area is fitted to two walls with peninsular island, with sink unit and the breakfast area will accommodate a large table, with stable door to side and French doors opening onto the garden. The utility room is fully tiled, with cupboards and laminate worktops. Wall mounted Potterton gas boiler. The family room off the kitchen has a bay window with window seat and open fireplace, there is an inner hall with stairs to first floor and access to the studyhome office, with period fireplace with gas fire and ornate period ceiling rose.
On the first floor, the landing has windows to both front and rear, with gallery over the entrance hall, airing cupboard with lagged hot water cylinder. The main bedroom, is a bright dual aspect room, with dressing room and fully tiled ensuite, with large shower cubicle, WC and wash basin, paneled radiator and ceramic tiled floor. Bedroom two is also a lovely double room in the original period part of the house, again double aspect with attractive fireplace and ensuite shower room. There are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside
Screened by a tall hedge to the front, gravel driveway with parking for several vehicles. Side gate to vegetable garden with garden shed. Patio immediately to the rear of the property, opening onto lawns which extend to the rear and side, small oak and willow trees, numerous mature shrubs and bushes, small summer house.
